Agreement
By creating an account or using GigMinion, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What GigMinion is
GigMinion is a subscription web application for musicians, made up of GigTracker Minion, Setlist Minion and Lyrics Minion. Features may change as the product develops.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information.
- One account is for one person. Band plans allow the members you invite.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.
- You may cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into GigMinion. You give us only the permission needed to store, display and back up your content so the service can work. You are responsible for having the rights to any lyrics or other material you upload.
What you upload, and what you are responsible for
GigMinion is a workspace. What you put in it is yours, and it stays yours. It is also your responsibility.
When you create an account you confirm that you accept the following. You are solely responsible for:
- Licensing and copyright. Lyrics, chords, charts, recordings, artwork, YouTube links and any other material you add. You confirm you have the right to store and use it, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights. GigMinion does not supply, license or check lyrics or any other copyrighted material — you bring your own.
- Performing rights and venue licensing. Any licences, royalties or reporting obligations that come with performing the music on your setlists.
- Other people’s information. Client names, contact details, venue contacts, pay arrangements and anything else you store about a third party. You confirm you are entitled to hold it and to share what you choose to share with your band.
- Privacy and data protection law. Meeting whatever obligations apply to you where you operate, for the information you collect and store in GigMinion.
- Accuracy. Keeping your own records correct, and removing what you no longer need.
You agree not to upload anything unlawful, and not to use GigMinion to distribute copyrighted material to the public. If a rights holder contacts us about material stored in your account, we may remove it and will tell you.
Our role. We store what you put in and show it to the people you share it with. We do not sell your data, use your content to advertise to you, or share it with anyone outside the providers that run the service.
You will be asked to accept these terms with a checkbox when you sign up. That checkbox is your acknowledgement of everything in this section.
Acceptable use
- Do not use GigMinion to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Do not resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.
Our content
The GigMinion name, logo, software and design are ours. These terms do not give you rights to them beyond using the service.
Service availability
We work to keep GigMinion running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. GigMinion is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending your account
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will give notice where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date, and material changes will be emailed to account holders.
